Kate Beckinsale Talks Fame, "Total Recall" Remake

Putting her breathtaking looks on full display, Kate Beckinsale graces the cover of Flaunt magazine’s Issue 118.

The 38-year-old big screen star is featured in a stunning black and white spread adoring the publication’s pages while chatting about topics including Hollywood fame and the new “Total Recall” remake.

Highlights from Miss Beckinsale’s interview are as follows. For more, be sure to visit Flaunt!

On fame and movie flops in Hollywood:
“Basically, the really big movies that I have done that suck, have, for me, turned out at various crisis points in my life where I think, ‘Shit, I need to make sure I can take care of my kid.’ As simple as that. You know, it’s a weird thing that your hobby, the thing you feel great about, is also the thing that makes you go, ‘Okay, well, I have to be able to pay a mortgage bill.’ It shouldn’t be the case. The bottom line is that will happen sometimes.”

On starring in the new “Total Recall” remake:
“I do think it’s a shame that it’s hard for directors to get an original idea that wasn’t a comic or wasn’t a remake or wasn’t a game or something. I think it’s very frustrating for directors in general and actors. You’re constantly finding yourself having to defend doing a remake when you didn’t really want to make one in the first place.”

Kobe Bryant’s Wife Files for Divorce

With the NBA preseason just underway after a lengthy league lockout, Kobe Bryant’s season has had an eventful beginning after his wife Vanessa filed for divorce.

The Los Angeles Lakers All-Star is on the way to being a single man, as TMZ reports that his wife of 10+ years is ending their marriage.

The split coming after Vanessa stuck by her man’s side through an alleged sexual assault by Kobe in 1993 during a visit to Colorado, TMZ’s source tells, “She’s been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she’s finally had enough,” adding, “This one is the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

The report adds that Mrs. Bryant submitted the papers on Friday (December 16) while seeking joint custody of their two daughters, 8-year-old Natalia and 5-year-old Gianna, including primary care with her basketball star ex permitted visitation.

However, the Biebs did more than offer up his vocal talents, he also cut the struggling school a check for $100,000 – a gift he pledged to make while on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” last month.

Additionally, Justin showered the kids – most of whom are homeless – with another $100,000 of presents. After completing his good deed, the “Baby” singer tweeted, writing, “Thank you las vegas and thank you @theellenshow for a day I will never forget. #giveback.”

Katy Perry Remixes "The One That Got Away" with B.o.B.

Treating her fans to a revamped version of her hit single, Katy Perry enlisted the help of B.o.B. for a just-released remix of “The One That Got Away”.

The original version comes from 27-year-old Miss Perry’s album Teenage Dream, with Capitol Records having submitted the B.o.B featuring rendition to radio for airplay while expected to make it available for purchase next week.

Aside from ushering out new music, Katy is fresh off of being crowned as MTV’s 2011 Artist of the Year thanks to a spectacular chart-topping past twelve months.

Of the accolade, Perry appreciatively told in a video message (watch below), “I just want to say thank you for this amazing award. To be Artist of the Year, a whole 365 days, that’s pretty cool. I wasn’t really allowed to watch MTV growing up, so this feels really validating.”

Katy added, “And I’ve had a fantastic year, a great tour and a great run, and you guys have been so a part of it and such a big reason why. So thank you so much. I really appreciate it.”

Jude Law Dishes About His Drunken Curtain Call

Making a stop at the Ed Sullivan Theatre to promote his “Sherlock Holmes” sequel, Jude Law appeared as the guest on the “Late Show with David Letterman” on Friday night (December 16).

The hunky British actor plugged his just-released motion picture while also telling a story of how he was tricked into getting drunk during the last night of performing in the stage production of Eugene O’Neill’s “Anna Christie”.

Recalling the eventful evening, Law told, “On the last night, the last scene. There’s a lot of talk in this play about drinking and fighting and, um, in the last scene the father of Anna – who has been my kind of nemesis throughout – finally confronts me and we decide to put our differences aside and he had this big bottle of whiskey and we’d swig it and throughout the run I’d be taking [makes gulping motion] huge glugs of this stuff and it’s water you know. And of course on the last night, he brings out a bottle of whiskey, unbeknownst to me. The biggest lesson I learned is that you don’t really drink whiskey like that [gulps again]. Because when I did, when I did… yeah.”

Enjoying the story, Letterman then asked, “Did it good or bad bring something to the performance?”

Laughing as he answered, Jude replied, “I don’t remember… All I remember is the last night and the party afterwards went fantastic.”

Not letting her recent breakup dampen the holiday season, Ashley Tisdale treated herself to a fun-filled Friday night (December 16) on the town in Los Angeles, California.

After shopping up a storm with her mom earlier in the day, the former “High School Musical” actress tossed on a sexy black mini dress and headed over to Key Club to catch a Robin Thicke concert with Tinseltown pals Haylie Duff, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan.

Tweeting about the festivities, Miss Tisdale excitedly wrote, “With @HaylieK @jennaldewan and @channingtatum watching Robin Thicke. The night has just started :)”

Upon show’s end, Tizzie and co. closed out their partying with a visit to the popular Trousdale nightclub – after which the newly-single 26-year-old seemed to be doing quite well for herself while walking down the crowded sidewalk arm-in-arm with a mystery male.
